Problem sorted quickly and efficiently
We had sewage covering our back yard. Sam picked up the phone straight away - no call centre delays - and put his team on the job immediately. I received regular updates about when Josh and his colleague would arrive. The drain cover had been cemented down when we laid slate tiles in our back yard and Josh carefully chipped the cover loose. He then quickly and efficiently unblocked the drain and ensured the back yard completely clean. We can now flush the loos, use the showers and breath (fresh air) again. Attempted to charge £479 after agreeing £119.80 for the full job - never sent a report
Agreed £119.80 by phone to unblock the drain, including call-out, plus a free full CCTV survey, written report and relining quote. The operative spent about 30 minutes chatting before opening the van, took several calls and later demanded about £479 while my wife was home alone. After challenge, he wrote £239.60, then accepted £119.80 before I returned. He said that if we took the matter forward, VAT would be added to the charge, which felt like pressure not to complain.
