Professional installation ensures your stove:

• Operates efficiently
• Vents correctly
• Keeps your home warm without safety risks like smoke leaks or chimney fires

What’s involved in wood burning stove installation

Installing a wood burning stove involves several key steps:

1. Inspecting the fireplace or flue
2. Fitting a suitable liner
3. Setting up the hearth
4. Connecting the stove to ensure proper ventilation

Your installer will also make sure the installation complies with HETAS regulations and provide a certificate of compliance.

If you already have a fireplace, the process is usually straightforward.

For homes without an existing chimney, your installer can fit a twin-wall flue system to vent through an external wall or roof.

How much does stove installation cost?

The cost to install a wood burning stove varies depending on the stove type, flue setup, and any building work required.

Expect to pay around £1,000-£2,500 for supply and installation, or £600-£1,000 for installation only if you already have a stove and suitable flue.

Installing a wood burning stove in an existing fireplace is generally cheaper, while adding a new flue or external chimney can increase costs.

Always ask your installer for a detailed breakdown before work begins.
