A standard window installation involves removing the old unit, prepping the frame, and fitting a new energy-efficient window. A typical installation takes 1–2 hours per window, but this can vary depending on:

• The number of windows
• Window size and type (sash, bay, casement etc.)
• Complexity of access
• Weather conditions
• Number of installers working on-site

Currently, there is no UK-wide grant scheme for double glazing. However, some households may be eligible for support under:

• Local Authority Flexible Eligibility (LA Flex)
• The Great British Insulation Scheme
• Local council energy efficiency programmes

You can check with your council and energy supplier for any local schemes available to you.
