Do I need a builder or a roofer?
Extension wall has penetrating damp on the top half of wall - previously plastered twice and new flat roof fitted 7yrs ago - neither resolved the issue for very long. Would this require a builder and roofer, or just a builder? Previously builder wanted to plaster for 3rd time with plaster for swimming pools, but not sure if that would resolve the issue. Am I looking for the right trade?

You would need to see what is happening under the roof. It could be blocked cavities or cavity wall insulation gone wrong.

I would seek a damp proof expert for a report, that way you won’t have trades guessing and wasting your money and they will pin point the issues.

The last time I saw an issue similar to this, it was because of a lack of proper insulation. The builder had started using rubbish to fill the cavity with zero vents. There was a cracked overflow pipe going through the cavity wall, which was flooding it constantly. I would assume single core would be the solution to this issue.
