What alternatives are there for a plastic lean-to roof?

We bought a house with a wooden open lean-to with a corrugated plastic roof with a few holes in it. I don't like the look of the plastic but I like the light that it lets in. Are there any nicer alternatives that are available?

There are lots of options. Quite expensive, but polycarbonate sheets with bronze in it stop the sun from being too overpowering. You can get them made to measure from Eurocell.
