Laura is a copywriter with a passion for home improvement, interiors, and gardening. Since graduating from the University of Brighton in 2005, she has been creating engaging content for a variety of blogs and brands, focusing on topics such as sustainability, wellbeing, and all things home and garden. Drawing on her personal experience renovating several properties, Laura enjoys uncovering money-saving tips and sharing practical advice to inspire homeowners.

Emma has earned her stripes writing for various interiors-focused brands and has a soft spot for sustainable decor. When she’s not writing about home improvements, she taking on a few DIY projects of her own. Her biggest challenge was overhauling a 1930s semi into her dream, open-plan home (with much help from professional builders!).

Lara loves writing about every aspect of the home – from the latest colour trends to emerging designs. She has a lot of experience writing about home trends and interior advice for leading titles such as The Telegraph, Metro, and Homes & Gardens.

Tim Wickham is a writer with over 30 years’ experience. With a background in accountancy, Tim's work has covered a broad range of business management and finance topics. He regularly interviews entrepreneurs in the south east for regional title The Business Magazine.

With a background in writing content for a variety of different industries, Alex is a key player in the Checkatrade Editorial Team. His passion for supporting both consumers and businesses influences the content he creates across a range of our blog areas.
