To better help both you and homeowners, we have redesigned our reviews around three key principles:

  1. Relevance: highlighting what matters most to homeowners choosing a tradesperson.

  2. Clarity: making sure the quality of your work and service are front and center.

  3. Trust: ensuring homeowners believe your reviews are credible.

So, what’s new?

We’ve added three functions to make reviews more impactful:

  • A new ratings category for homeowners, called 'Communication'

  • Support for photos attached to reviews

  • Review replies, so you can thank reviewers and address any concerns

Ratings that matter to homeowners

We've updated our rating categories to reflect what homeowners consider when choosing a trade; Quality of Work, Reliability and Communication.

How will this affect your score?

Your overall review score will still average all ratings from the past 12 months (including those from our earlier ratings categories).

Any past ‘courtesy’ and ‘tidiness’ ratings will still contribute to your overall score, but they won’t be shown separately in the breakdown on your profile. Instead, communication ratings will be included as soon as you receive your first review using the new categories.

Clearly show your work through review photos

Homeowners can now add photos to their reviews, to demonstrate the quality of your work.

You should encourage your customers to attach a photo to their review (you could even ask them to show a before & after of the job). We’ll screen all photos before they appear on your profile.

Build trust with review replies

Research shows that people are far more likely to pick a business that responds to reviews vs those who do not.

Whether you are thanking them for their support or addressing concerns, publicly replying to reviews strengthens relationships with your customers—and builds trust with potential customers. Replying to your reviews could win you more work.

You can respond to reviews directly through the trade app. Simply tap the three dots next to the review you would like to respond to and add your reply.
