We’ve added a filter so homeowners can find trades who accept in-app payments — and prioritised them in search results. It’s a smoother experience for both sides, making it easier to find and book trades who offer simpler ways to pay.

Directory secure contacts migration (SUT-721)

Moved secure contact functionality to new infrastructure, reducing tech debt and improving platform stability for future iterations. It’s all about keeping key features stable and secure, now and in the future

Surface Pricing Data (SUT-714)

We now show typical price ranges in search results to help homeowners understand costs upfront. It also helps trades stand out by showing the kind of jobs they take on — and what they usually charge.

Reviews Metric Calculation Rewrite (SUT-712)

We’ve updated how review scores are calculated to make sure they stay accurate over time. This helps keep star ratings fair and reliable — for trades and for the people hiring them.

App enablement of SL Self Serve (SUT-709)

Self-serve upgrades are now live in the app, making it easier for trades to manage their visibility on the go. Whether on iOS or Android, trades can now access and action upsell features without needing to log in on desktop.

My Jobs - Job List and Job Card Improvements v2 (SUT-708)

We’ve improved how job lists and job cards show up in the app, making it easier to track what’s booked and how things are going. Key info like accepted rates and performance scores is now clearer at a glance — helping trades stay on top of their workload.

Customer support - case refactoring, escalation management (SUT-704)

We’ve improved how customer issues are tracked and resolved, especially when more than one team needs to get involved. It means faster answers, clearer updates, and less chasing for everyone.

Book & Pay - Service Fees (SUT-668)

Trade

Trades can now chat with homeowners before accepting a direct booking — giving them more control and better context. Service fees now only apply when a job is booked or completed, so trades aren’t charged for booking requests that don’t go anywhere.

Book & Pay – Payment Options (SUT-668)

Trade & Consumer

Trades can now choose how they get paid when accepting a direct booking — from full upfront hold, part-payment, or just card verification. It gives both sides more flexibility and helps build trust, with a 48-hour window for homeowners to raise any issues before payment is taken.

Checkatrade Pay - Payment Processing Fees (SUT-677)

Trade

Trades are now charged a payment processing fee for payments processed via Checkatrade Pay. These processing fees are clearly outlined when a Trade creates a payment request and are only taken when the payment is made by the Consumer.

Priced Services Templates (SUT-669)

Trade

Trades can now choose from hundreds of ready-made templates for common jobs like gutter cleaning or EV charger installs. It’s a faster way to add Priced Services to their profile — making it easier to show what they offer and win more work.
