What does a cut phone line repair cost?

A cut phone line repair cost with a qualified electrician can cost you anything from £45. This is a very small job for an electrician, so you may find that many electricians do not have the flexibility to complete a repair of this size.

To find an electrician who could repair your cut phone line, utilise our “Request a quote” feature. You post your job explaining your issue, and we will send your job out to three of your local, qualified and insured electricians.

Do reach out to your phone line provider also; their engineers may come to repair your cut phone line for free. Do be warned; each provider differs. Some BT customers have reportedly been informed that there is a call-out fee for one of their engineers, which is followed up by the cost to repair the cut phone line.

If you are unsure what to do, you could review our article on costs to install a phone line as this may be an alternative solution to replace the cut phone line,  if you want to review electrician costs and hourly rates, check out our cost guide.

Note: this answer is based on an accidental cut of a phone line in your home. Any other phone line issues beyond your control and outside of your home should be reported to your phone line provider.
