How much is it to fix a hole in the wall?
The cost to repair a hole in your drywall or plasterboard will depend on the severity of the damage to your wall and the remedy required.
For a foot-shaped/size hole in the wall, you can expect a professional plasterer or handyperson to charge at least £120 for the repair. This cost includes labour and the materials to fill in that gaping hole.
To plaster a small crack you can expect the cost to be around £100.
If, for example, the damage is so severe that a repair or patch up isn’t going to resolve the issue, then additional costs will be required and you will need to work with a plasterer to apply new drywall and plastering. There’s more on this cost here in our costs to plaster a room cost guide.
What’s the cost to patch a drywall?
Patching up drywall is the same as a repair job on it. The cost is the same; around £120, depending on the severity and complexity of the job, as well as your location in the UK.
What’s the difference between drywall and plasterboard?
The only real difference between the two is their name – geographical location has a thing or two to do with whether you call it drywall (typically USA) or plasterboard (UK).
Whatever you call it, our plasterers and handypeople are experienced with both drywall and plasterboard!
