Don’t forget that you don’t have to buy your whole kitchen from one supplier – if you’re planning on working with an independent kitchen fitter, you could source parts of your kitchen yourself online to keep costs down, or even opt for a second-hand or ex-display kitchen.

2. Read reviews

One of the best ways you can find a good kitchen supplier or fitter is to check what previous customers have said about their work.

Don’t just look at the star ratings. Instead, read what people mention about a tradesperson’s attitude, professionalism, speed, cleanliness and responsiveness, amongst other things.

Remember, the tradesperson you pick to install your kitchen will be in your home for at least a few days. So, you need to look for someone you’d feel comfortable with in your home, who’s going to take care of it and clean up after themselves.
