Checkatrade Names UK's Top Tradespeople at Wembley Awards Final

The UK's best tradespeople celebrated at the Checkatrade Awards grand finale at Wembley Stadium, following four regional heats across the country.

Hosted by Sky News presenter Darren McCaffrey, the Checkatrade Awards final brought together hundreds of the UK's most skilled tradespeople to celebrate excellence, craftsmanship, and outstanding customer service across the trades industry.

Following four regional awards nights held across the country, 14 exceptional tradespeople were crowned winners in categories recognising their expertise, professionalism, and dedication to their craft, and one trade was chosen as the overall Trade of the Year.

Builder of the Year: Andy Kille, Andy Kille Building and Property Maintenance, Preston

Carpenter of the Year: Dean Hopgood, 1st Carpentry, Portsmouth

Community Hero: Shoaib Awan, The Gas Expert, Romford

Rising Star: Sophie Murphy, Spotless Property Solutions, Ruislip

Roofer of the Year: Gary Smith, G J Smith Roofing, Dunstable

Sustainability Champion: Callum Brazier, Callum Martin Energy, Loughton

Technology Champion: Ryan O’Sullivan, Ry Group, New Malden

Trade Champion: Jamie Gatley, J G Asbestos Services, Ilkeston

Women in Trade Champion: Holly Cruttenden, Carpets 4U, Epsom
